Reviewing Zi Health Services Research Congress 2019
The Zi-Congress Health Services Research 2019 has been taking place for the third time after the first congress in 2015 and the second in 2017. We are planning to establish the Zi-Congress as a regular event every two years.
Health Services Research has become more and more important in recent years. As a relatively young multidisciplinary scientific field it focuses on patients’ access to health care practitioners and health care services. Regional variation and demographic transitions influence access to health care, patient behavior and the range of available health care services.
The Zi congress brought together national and international experts, scientists, doctors, representatives of self-governing bodies and health policy makers. This was an exiting opportunity to access, engage in, and raise priority issues related to health services and systems. The overall aim was to make health systems more sustainable and safe.
The full and diverse program of the two-day Zi-Congresses 2019 included:
Day 1 – Health Services Research with a health policy perspective
- Digitalization, Network Analysis, Research Networks – New Approaches in Health Services Research
- Health Systems Development – Controlling and Planning from a Regional Perspective
Day 2 – Health Services Research from a practitioner point of view
- Guidelines with a regional focus – how is this going to help us?
- Health Services Research – Implications for the medical associations and societies
Conference languages was German and English with simultaneous translation.
