Dr. JOBST AUGUSTIN

Dr. Jobst Augustin studied Geography and Sociology at the Universities of Göttingen and Stockholm from 2000 to 2005 (degree: Dipl.-Geograph). This was followed by work as a research associate and lecturer at the Geographical Institute of the University of Göttingen. In 2009, Jobst Augustin became Dr. rer. nat  at the University of Göttingen. Between 2009 and 2013, he worked as a research assistant at the Umweltbundesamt (Federal Environment Agency; Fachgebiet Umweltmedizin und gesundheitliche Bewertung) sowie am Zentralinstitut für die kassenärztliche Versorgung in Deutschland (Zi) in Berlin. Since 2013, Jobst Augustin has been working at the Institute for Health Services Research in Dermatology and Nursing (IVDP) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, where he heads the Research Group Health Geography. His research focuses on regional health services research and urban health. Jobst Augustin is a lecturer in health geography at the University of Hamburg.
