Nicole Zander has been a research associate at the Institut für Versorgungsforschung in der Dermatologie und bei Pflegeberufen (IVDP) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in the Research Group Health Geography since 2015. Since 2017 she has been enrolled at the Universität Hamburg for a PhD program with the goal of doctoral studies. Under the topic "Physician selection and mobility behavior of patients with psoriasis," she examines how regional variation in care affects the choice of physicians, patient preferences, and travel time. Nicole Zander is the IVDP's contact person for the epidemiology unit, where she is primarily concerned with the analysis of the health service provision and needs assessment of dermatological diseases on a national and international level. Another activity is the epidemiological investigation of various dermatological diseases based on population-based study populations.
