Dr. Afzal Chaudhry is a Nephrologist, the Director of Digital (CIO) and CCIO at Cambridge University Hospitals. He leads the eHospital programme, delivering a hospital-wide HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7 EPR, and the Informatics component in the Cambridge NIHR Biomedical Research Centre. He is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Cambridge and an Associate Site Director for the Cambridge HDR UK site. Nationally he is Vice-Chair of the UK PRSB as well as the Chair of their Assurance Board, working to define professional clinical and operational documentation standards across health and social care.
